The Institute is a Delaware nonprofit corporation. Its application for federal 501(c)(3) recognition is in preparation. The councils advise. They do not bind the board, except that the Academic Council bounds what the Institute may claim as evidence. The councils steer by principles and evidence. They do not hold operational control or funds, which remain with the Institute's team.
